District Court of Rudolstadt

The District Court of Rudolstadt is a court of ordinary jurisdiction that has existed from 1879 to 1952 and has been newly established since 1993 and is based in the Thuringian city of Rudolstadt .

history

On the occasion of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, a district court was established in Rudolstadt in the Principality of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt , the district of which was unchanged from the district of the previous judicial office in Rudolstadt . It was one of the 14 courts that were subordinate to the District Court of Rudolstadt .

The judicial reform that became necessary after the formation of the state of Thuringia led to a change in the judicial district on October 1, 1923. With the abolition of the local courts in the GDR , the court was converted into the District Court of Rudolstadt in 1952 . In 1993, the district courts were reintroduced in Thuringia and the Rudolstadt district court was newly established. It is subordinate to the Gera regional court .

The court has its seat in the listed building Marktstrasse 54 in Rudolstadt.
