District court Hirschberg (Saale)

The district court of Hirschberg (Saale) was a court of ordinary jurisdiction that existed from 1879 to 1949 and was based in the Thuringian town of Hirschberg (Saale) .

history

In Hirschberg, the Hirschberg Justice Office existed as a court of first instance and an administrative unit. Since the separation of the judiciary from the administration in Reuss younger line , the justice office in Hirschberg was exclusively a court. Since 1863, the Schleiz District Court and, above it, the Eisenach Court of Appeal, were higher-level courts. The Gera appellate court had previously performed this function.

On the occasion of the introduction of the German Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, a district court of Hirschberg was established in the Principality of Reuss younger line , its district

was formed.

The next higher instance was the Gera regional court until September 1, 1949 , followed by the Rudolstadt regional court for a month .

With effect from October 1, 1949, the Hirschberg District Court was repealed and the municipalities of Birkenhügel (Lerchenhügel and Pirk), Frössen, Künsdorf, Langgrün, Pottiga and Sparnberg were assigned to the Lobenstein District Court and the other communities to the Schleiz District Court .
