District court Meuselwitz

The District Court of Meuselwitz was a court of ordinary jurisdiction that existed from 1906 to 1952 and was based in the city of Meuselwitz .

With effect from January 1, 1906, a district court of Meuselwitz was established in the then Duchy of Saxony-Altenburg , the district of which was formed from the northwestern part of the district court district of Altenburg , including the cities of Meuselwitz and Lucka as well as the rural communities Altpoderschau , Breitenhain , Bünauroda , Dobitschen , Dobraschütz , Dölzig , Gröba , Großröda , Heukendorf , Kleinröda , Kostitz , Kraasa , Kriebitzsch ,Leesen , Mumsdorf , Neupoderschau , Oberkossa , Petsa , duty Village , Pöhla , Ponte joke , Posa , Prößdorf , Rolika , Schnauderhainichen , Starkenberg , Teuritz , Waltersdorf , winter village and Zechau .

After the Free State of Saxony-Altenburg, which had only been founded two years earlier, had risen up in the state of Thuringia in 1920 , the Meuselwitz District Court continued to operate as the Thuringian District Court from 1921. If this court first belonged to the district of the Altenburg Regional Court , on September 1, 1949, the change to the district of the Gera Regional Court took place .

On January 1, 1952, the Meuselwitz District Court was repealed and its entire district was assigned to the Altenburg District Court .
