District court Jena
The Jena District Court is a court of ordinary jurisdiction and one of seven District Courts (AG) in the district of the Gera District Court .
Seat and District of the Court
The seat of the court is the independent city of Jena in the metropolitan region of Central Germany . The 289 km² judicial district extends to the cities and communities Dornburg-Camburg , Frauenprießnitz , Golmsdorf , Großlöbichau , Hainichen , Jena, Jenalöbnitz , Lehesten , Löberschütz , Neuengönna , Schkölen , Tautenburg , Thierschneck , Wichmar and Zimmer . Around 122,500 people live in it.
Foreclosures , receivership , panel of lay judges , Jugendschöffen- and prison terms of processes the AG Jena also for the District of District Court Stadtroda . As the central register court, it is responsible for keeping the trade , cooperative and partnership register in Thuringia .
Agricultural matters are assigned to the Gera District Court . The central dunning court is the Aschersleben District Court .

Superior courts
The District Court of Gera is superordinate to the Jena District Court. The competent higher regional court is the Thuringian higher regional court , also located in Jena .
