Justice Center Wiesbaden

More modern complexes are usually referred to as justice centers or specialized courts , in which various courts of ordinary jurisdiction and specialized jurisdiction , possibly also including other judicial institutions such as public prosecutors , prisons , lawyers' associations or probation services, are spatially combined. Organizationally and functionally, the participating institutions work independently of one another and also appear within the centers with their own names. Representative older court complexes, as they were mostly built between 1870 and 1920, but also some newer buildings are also called the Palace of Justice .

Germany

Bavaria

The Free State of Bavaria has essentially continued to use the court buildings of the former kingdom designed as palaces of justice (for example in Nuremberg and Munich ) for various courts and authorities. In Bavaria, a (civil or criminal) justice center is often referred to as joint, cross-instance institutions of the respective branch of ordinary jurisdiction.

North Rhine-Westphalia

The country North Rhine-Westphalia has as the most populous and urban embossed state a relatively high volumes of Justice. Due to the lack of space and in order to bring the judiciary closer to the citizen, the judicial facilities there were bundled in judicial centers in numerous cities.

Austria

The Austrian court system is less differentiated in terms of different jurisdictions than that in Germany. In addition to ordinary jurisdiction, there are only administrative courts and the Austrian Constitutional Court. In addition, all courts are institutions of the republic, not of the respective federal states, so that the courts of appeal are significantly less numerous than in Germany. Nevertheless, dishes are also accommodated here together. The higher courts of Austria in Vienna are housed in the Vienna Palace of Justice .
