The social court in Hanover is a court of social justice . It is one of eight social courts in Lower Saxony and is based in Hanover . The head of the authorities has been the President of the Social Court Gabriele Beyer since the beginning of 2013.

The social court was located in the Calenberger Esplanade in the Calenberger Neustadt until August 2015 . Since then it has been located in the Specialized Court Center on Leonhardtstrasse in Hanover-Mitte.

Superior courts

The Lower Saxony-Bremen Regional Social Court with its seat in Celle is superordinate to the Social Court of Hanover . This is subordinate to the Federal Social Court in Kassel .
