The Social Court of Gelsenkirchen , based in the city of Gelsenkirchen, is a social justice court and one of eight social courts in North Rhine-Westphalia . It is headed by Silvia Fleck as president.

Judicial district

The judicial district extends to the cities of Bottrop , Gelsenkirchen, Herne , Castrop-Rauxel , Datteln , Dorsten , Gladbeck , Haltern am See , Herten , Marl , Oer-Erkenschwick , Recklinghausen and Waltrop .

Court seat

The court, which was built in 1959, was distributed over five floors in the 17-story Hamburg-Mannheimer high-rise at Ahstrasse 22 in Gelsenkirchen's old town for decades .
