Social Court of Münster

The Social Court Munster , located in the Westphalian city of Münster is a court of social justice and one of eight social courts in North Rhine-Westphalia . It has existed since the Social Court Act came into force in 1954. A total of 16 chambers have been set up in it. Every year around 5000 cases are processed by the 14 judges and 45 other employees.

Judicial district

The judicial district largely corresponds to that of the Münster Regional Court and thus includes the districts of Borken , Coesfeld , Steinfurt and Warendorf as well as the independent city of Münster. It is therefore responsible for around 1,586,000 residents. The Münster Social Court holds court days in Ahaus , Beckum , Bocholt , Borken and Rheine .

Courthouse

The Münster social court building is located within Münster's old town at 45 Alten Steinweg , directly opposite the listed Kiffe pavilion.

Superior courts

The regional social court of North Rhine-Westphalia in Essen is the direct superordinate instance . The appeal body is the Federal Social Court in Kassel .
