List of architectural monuments in Quiigart

In the list of architectural monuments in Quiigart all the architectural monuments of the Saarland community Quiigart and its districts Fischbach-Camphausen and Göttelborn are listed. The basis is the sub-monuments list of the Saarbrücken regional association of the Saarland monuments list of December 16, 2013 and the current version of August 9, 2017.

Colliery house of the Camphausen pit The colliery was built in late Classicist form in 1880. It is the last remaining structure from the time the mine was founded. Camphausen pit mine house.JPG

Headframe at shaft IV of the Camphausen pit with two electr. Tower hoists Shaft IV was sunk in 1908. Because of the lack of space on the mine site, a decision was made against a steel headframe and a hammer head tower made of reinforced concrete was built in 1911/12 . Dormitory of the Camphausen pit The three-storey plastered building was built in 1924/25 and served as a place to sleep during the working week for miners who had traveled further. The building was later used as a school.

Mining inspection XI of the Camphausen mine, administration building, 1890–91 The two-storey administration building from the years 1890/91 is a red sandstone block building with a gable roof and brightly set off reveals and cornices. The windows on the first floor are connected by a surrounding cornice.

Catholic parish church of St. Joseph The Catholic Church was built in 1911/12 according to plans by the architect Moritz Gombert . The historicized church is richly decorated on the outer facade with contrasting pilaster strips and friezes . The bell tower is next to the nave. Ensemble of the Göttelborn mine settlement The Göttelborn mine settlement was mainly built between 1888 and 1912 as a housing estate for the miners of the Göttelborn mine and was built by the Prussian mining treasury. In addition, a director's villa and villas for mine engineers were built around 1889, as well as a two-storey inspection building as an administration building and a school. Most workers' houses are designed as twin houses. The variety of building types is striking.

Ensemble shaft III of the Göttelborn mine The winding machine house and the headframe of shaft III of the Göttelborn mine form a separate monument ensemble. Both were built in 1925/26, the headframe was reinforced in 1937–39.

Göttelborn mine The daytime facilities of the pit are under monument protection, including: Company premises, system parts, conveyor belts, belt bridges, retaining walls, headframe at shaft II from 1940 (reinforced in 1959 and 1965), hoisting machine house from shaft II with electr. Winding machine from 1959, shaft hall complex of shafts II and III with carriage circulation, chain track (push-on), atrium and former screening plant pushed to the west from 1939-42, plant components for coal processing around 1940, control center building from 1950 to 1960, coal washing from 1938-41 ( expanded by 1960 and 1990–2000), 1950 extension of external elevator, 1950–60 extension above the railway tracks, three thickeners south of the coal washing plant around 1940, mountain crusher around 1960 Göttelborn mine 2015-04-03 02.JPG

Transformer station The transformer station was built in 1910 for the municipal power supply. The building can hardly be recognized as an industrial building and was already richly decorated on the outside during construction. In 1993 the building was converted into a residential building. Ensemble Knappschaftskrankenhaus After three miners' hospitals had already been built in the 19th century to supply miners, further demand arose at the turn of the century due to the flourishing of mining. Therefore, between 1907 and 1910, another hospital was built in the Fischbachtal by the architect Abel. The whole complex is built in the style of the German late renaissance with an echo of baroque forms. In addition to the main building, there are several buildings from the 1920s, including villa-like medical residences and nursing homes.

Catholic parish church of the Assumption Assumption of the Virgin Mary was built between 1863 and 1866 as a single-nave church building in neo-Gothic style according to plans by the architect Carl Friedrich Müller from Saarlouis . At the end of the 19th century, the church had become too small due to the strong population growth in the community.
