The Paderborn District Court is a court of ordinary jurisdiction and one of six district courts in the district of the Paderborn District Court .

Seat and District of the Court

The seat of the court is Paderborn in North Rhine-Westphalia . The judicial district includes the cities and communities Altenbeken , Bad Lippspringe , Bad Wünnenberg , Borchen , Büren (Westphalia) , Lichtenau (Westphalia) and Salzkotten .

As the central register court, the Paderborn District Court manages the trade and cooperative registers for the Paderborn Regional Court district. For this district, the responsibility for insolvency proceedings is concentrated with him.

In addition, the Paderborn District Court is responsible for agricultural matters in the Delbrück and Paderborn district courts.

The district court is housed together with the superordinate regional court at Am Bogen 2 - 4 . Until 2008 there was a branch in the Hardehauser Hof next to the Busdorf Church .

The Paderborn District Court was founded by Ordinance No. 8573 from the Law Collection No. 25 for the Royal Prussian States of July 26, 1878 on the basis of Section 21 of the Implementing Act of the German Courts Constitution Act of August 24, 1878 to October 1, 1879.

Superordinate and subordinate courts

The Paderborn Regional Court is superordinate to the Paderborn District Court. The competent higher regional court is the higher regional court Hamm .
