The Magdeburg District Court is a court of ordinary jurisdiction in Germany and is one of 25 district courts in Saxony-Anhalt .

Seat and District of the Court

The judicial district of the Magdeburg District Court encompasses the urban area of ​​Magdeburg. It is based in Magdeburg in the justice center Eike von Repgow in Breiten Weg 203-206.

On February 1, 1996, the Magdeburg District Court was assigned the management of the inland waterway register for the area of ​​Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia.

Superior courts

The Magdeburg District Court is partly subordinate to the Magdeburg Regional Court , but partly also directly to the Higher Regional Court in Naumburg.
