Bernburg District Court
The Bernburg District Court is a court of ordinary jurisdiction and one of nine district courts (AG) in the district of the Magdeburg Regional Court .
Seat and District of the Court
The seat of the court is Bernburg (Saale) , the district town of the Salzlandkreis . The judicial district covers the entire area of the former district of Bernburg . About 65,000 people live in it.
Jurisdiction
The Bernburg District Court is the court of first instance in civil and criminal matters, as well as in matters of voluntary jurisdiction .
The Staßfurt branch of the Aschersleben District Court is responsible for dunning matters.
Superior courts
The Magdeburg Regional Court is directly superordinate to the AG Bernburg . The competent higher regional court is the higher regional court Naumburg . The highest court is the Federal Court of Justice .
Location and building
Since the fall of the Berlin Wall , the district court was temporarily housed in Bernburg Castle. Since this was inadequately set up for the needs of a court, the court moved in 2002 to a specially built building in Liebknechtstrasse / Rheineplatz.
