District court Wernigerode

The Wernigerode District Court is a court of ordinary jurisdiction in Germany. It belongs to the district of the Magdeburg Regional Court and the Naumburg Higher Regional Court .

The seat of the court is Wernigerode . It is located at Rudolf-Breitscheid-Straße 8 .

The district court was created on October 1, 1879 as a result of the introduction of a nationwide court system. The courthouse was built in 1893 in the neo-renaissance style. The plastered building has a corner cuboid, the window frames are made of sandstone . The portal is housed in a small vestibule. To the side of the entrance there is a small standing bay , crowned with a curved hood , which serves as a stairwell.

At the turn of the 21st century, a modern extension was built on the back.
