Hamburg Finance Court

The Hamburg Finance Court is the only tax court in the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg .

Jurisdiction

The judicial district covers the area of ​​the state of Hamburg. In addition, on the basis of a state treaty of 1981, the court is also responsible for disputes over customs and consumption taxes for the territory of the states of Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein .

In addition to its general subject-matter jurisdiction, the Hamburg Finance Court is also responsible for actions against public-law charges in the State of Hamburg, as well as in church tax matters (Section 5 of the Law on the Implementation of the Tax Court Regulations).

Seat

The seat of the court is Hamburg. The court is located in the House of Courts (6th floor). The President of the Finance Court is Christoph Schoenfeld .
