The House of Courts in Hamburg is part of a new building ensemble in the St. Georg district on the corner of Berliner Tor and Lübeckertordamm streets, with the postal address Lübeckertordamm 4.

In addition to the Justice Forum Hamburg on Sievekingplatz, it forms a second justice center in Hamburg. It was inaugurated in February 2003 by the then Justice Senator Roger Kusch . At the same time, Kusch officially opened the Hamburg St. Georg District Court, which was newly founded with the move to the building.

More than 350 judicial staff are employed in the house.
