The Finance Court of the Saarland is a German court of tax jurisdictions . It is the only financial court of Saarland .

Seat and District of the Court

The tax court (FG) has its seat in the state capital Saarbrücken .

The judicial district extends to the territory of the entire state . It thus covers an area of ​​around 2571  km 2 with a population of around 995,000 (as of September 30, 2017).

The court is located in the Hardenbergstrasse 3 building. The Saarland Regional Labor Court and the Saarland Labor Court moved to this address on April 1, 2018 .

Peter Bilsdorfer was President of the Finance Court from December 1, 2013 to February 28, 2017 . Anke Morsch has been President of the Finance Court since August 1, 2017 .

Instance move

Since the financial jurisdiction has a two-tier structure, the Saarland Finance Court is both a higher regional court and a court of entry in the first instance in accordance with Section 2 of the Finance Court Code . The Federal Fiscal Court in Munich is subordinate to it .
