Peter Bilsdorfer

Peter Bilsdorfer (born September 22, 1951 in Nalbach ) is a German lawyer. From December 2013 to the end of February 2017 he was President of the Saarland Finance Court . Bilsdorfer is honorary professor at Saarland University .

Life

Bilsdorfer studied law at Saarland University. He passed his state law exams in 1976 and 1978. After working in the financial administration, he moved to the Saarland Finance Court on July 1, 1984 as a judge. In 1994 he became a lecturer at the law faculty of Saarland University. In 1996 he received his doctorate on a tax topic. Until July 2007, Bilsdorfer was chairman of the main judges' council. Since July 1, 2007 he has been Vice President of the Saarland Finance Court. In 2008 he was appointed honorary professor at the University of Saarland. On December 1, 2013, he was appointed President of the Saarland Finance Court. Bilsdorfer has been working as a tax attorney since March 1, 2017, initially in a law firm in Dillingen, and since October 2019 in the Saarbrücken law firm KHH Legal Kropp Haag Hübinger.

Peter Bilsdorfer also works part-time as a journalist (mainly on tax issues) and a. for the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung , Welt am Sonntag , Süddeutsche Zeitung and the Saarbrücker Zeitung .
