Weida District Court

The Weida District Court ( Weida Justice Office until 1879 ) was a court of ordinary jurisdiction that existed from 1850 to 1952 and was based in the Thuringian city of Weida .

As a result of the revolution of 1848, there was also a reform of the state structure in the Grand Duchy of Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach . With the abolition of the Berga judicial office on October 1, 1877, the Weida district expanded to include the districts of Albersdorf , Berga / Elster (with Neumühl , Pöltschen , Schloßberga), Clodra , Culmitzsch , Dittersdorf , Endschütz , Eula , Friedmannsdorf , Großdraxdorf , and Großfalka , Großkundorf (with concern for Weimar), Katzendorf (with Wolframsdorf), Kleinkundorf , Letzendorf , Markersdorf b. Berga , Obergeißendorf , Rußdorf , Teichwolframsdorf , Untergeißendorf , Waltersdorf (with Rüßdorf ), Wernsdorf , Wolfersdorf and Zickra b. Berga .

With the entry into force of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, the judicial office became the Weida District Court, which was assigned to the Gera Regional Court, which was established at the same time . The Weida court district remained unchanged.

The municipality of Mosen , which was incorporated into the Grand Duchy of Saxony on January 1, 1913, with the Duchy of Saxony-Meiningen was assigned to the Weida District Court.

After Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach had risen in the state of Thuringia in 1920, the court districts were reorganized across the country on October 1, 1923. The district court district of Weida was significantly reduced in size:

  • Albersdorf, Berga / Elster, Clodra, Culmitzsch, Dittersdorf, Eula, Friedmannsdorf, Großdraxdorf, Großkundorf (with concern), Katzendorf (with Wolframsdorf), Kleinkundorf, Markersdorf b. Berga, Obergeißendorf, Teichwolframsdorf, Untergeißendorf, Waltersdorf b. Berga, Wernsdorf, Wolfersdorf and Zickra b. Berga were assigned to the Greiz District Court ;
  • Hundhaupten weimar. Share, Markersdorf b. Münchenbernsdorf, Thränitz and the town of Unterröppisch, which was incorporated into Gera, came to the district court of Gera and finally
  • the former Weimar part of Rußdorf was assigned to the district court of Ronneburg .

Only the village of Gorlitzsch , which was combined with sheep preskel to form the municipality of Gorlitzsch sheep preskel , was able to expand.

From January 1, 1924 to January 1, 1925, Großfalka was also part of the Gera District Court.

On January 1, 1952, the Weida District Court was repealed and its entire district was assigned to the Gera District Court.
