Großdraxdorf is a hamlet in the town of Berga / Elster in the Greiz district in Thuringia .

Großdraxdorf is an angerweiler . It is located in a wooded area on the high plateau 320 meters above sea level on the White Elster . In the hamlet, 15 houses with 30 inhabitants are occupied.

history

The hamlet was first mentioned in a document on October 4, 1209. The village green is built on with three four-sided courtyards.

In the vicinity of the village is the Dachshügel , with its striking remains of a former hill fort , the largest ground monument in the northern Vogtland. The noble family of the same name probably lived there from 1274 to 1506.
