On a high altitude, west of the White Elster near Berga, in the upper Harnbachtal is the hamlet of Dittersdorf on Landesstrasse 1083 and Bundesstrasse 175 in a hilly area of ​​the eastern Thuringian slate mountains . Berga is about 5 kilometers away down in the valley.
