Friedmannsdorf is a district of Seelingstädt in the Greiz district in Thuringia .

Friedmannsdorf is located in the eastern tip of the Free State of Thuringia, southwest of Seelingstädt, right on the border with the state of Saxony . The soils still belong to the Thuringian Slate Mountains . The village can be easily reached via the federal highway 175 .

history

The village was first mentioned on April 10, 1432. At the 1964 census there were 214, today approx. 100 inhabitants in the agricultural district. Friedmann village was formerly part of Greiz in the East German district of Gera and came on 1 July 1968 to the neighboring district of Gera . At the same time, the community of Culmitzsch was incorporated, which was later devastated by the uranium mining of the bismuth .
