Gorlitzsch

history

To Reuss Younger Line belonging Gorlitzsch was first documented in 1533. It can be assumed that a Vorwerk had existed at this point for many years - it is unclear whether this belonged to Gut Röppisch or Gut Pforten (both today districts of Gera). The responsible parish and school location was Sirbis (today in the district of Greiz ). In 1827 the place had 9 houses and 38 inhabitants.

A gallows on the Heidelberg has been documented since the 16th century , to which it was attached to secure the right of way and to deter other muggers.

In 1923 sheep prescles and Gorlitzsch were combined to form the municipality of Gorlitzsch sheep prescles, and in 1950 they were incorporated into Weißig. As part of the regional structural reform at the beginning of the 1990s, when the alternative was Gera or Münchenbernsdorf, the majority of the population opted for Gera, so that Weißig, Gorlitzsch and Schafpreskel were incorporated into the city of Gera on July 1, 1994.

The consumption opened in 1968 was closed in 1990.
