An older document from 1267 about the interest note from Eberwinsdorf by Heinrich Herr von Gera to the Lausnitz monastery ( Klosterlausnitz ) is not clear about the place. Belonging to the Gera lordship, the small local knight's seat was connected to the Zwötzen manor from an early age . In 1827 the place includes the manor, 28 houses and 172 inhabitants.
Weißig and Zeulsdorf also belonged to the parish of Dürrenebersdorf . A school existed in the village since the 16th century. It was closed in the 1960s.
On July 1, 1950, the place was incorporated into Gera. He received a kindergarten in 1951. In 1960, the Agricultural Production Cooperative (LPG) Harmonie Type I was founded in the place, which is still very agricultural today - and: Dürrenebersdorf was the first fully cooperative district of Gera.
