Seifersdorf is a district of Zedlitz in the Greiz district in Thuringia .

location

Seifersdorf is on Kreisstraße 125, which connects the district with northern Zedlitz as well as with federal highway 2 , which runs to the west behind a forest . The district is located in the valley of an elevated plain west of the Elsterniederung . The Seitenbachtal is also called the Silbertal . The district is surrounded by forest. The northern access is free from forests.

history

On October 4, 1209, the district was first mentioned in a document. The inhabitants of the place once lived mainly from the timber trade and agriculture.

On July 1, 1950, it was incorporated into Zedlitz. In 1998/99 the streets in the village and the outside areas were renovated. In 2000 it was the turn of the Church.
