District Court of Rudolstadt
The district court of Rudolstadt was a German district court from 1879 to 1952 with its seat in Rudolstadt in Thuringia.
Due to the Judicial Procedure Act of January 27, 1877, local and regional courts had to be established in what is now Thuringia. Since the area belonged to several states, Prussia , Saxony-Meiningen and Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt signed state treaties on October 17, 1878 to form a joint regional court in Rudolstadt. It was responsible for the Principality of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt, the Meinigischen Kreis Saalfeld and the Prussian District Ziegenrück . At the same time, the Rudolstadt district court , which had existed until then , was repealed with the Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt law of March 1, 1879 and its business was transferred to the newly established district court.
14 local courts were located there, 7 of which belonged to Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt.
