District Court of Sonneberg
The district court of Sonneberg , a court of ordinary jurisdiction , is one of six district courts (AG) in the district of the district court of Meiningen .
Seat and District of the Court
The seat of the court is Sonneberg , the district town of the district of the same name in southern Thuringia . The 434 km² judicial district includes the district of Sonneberg . Almost 56,400 people live in it.
The Meiningen District Court handles insolvency proceedings . For the leadership of the trade , cooperative and partnership register is Jena District Court jurisdiction. The central dunning court is the Aschersleben District Court .

The court is housed in the listed building at Untere Marktstrasse 2 . The solid structure was built in the neo-renaissance style by Hermann Schubert in 1891/92 . The Suhl Labor Court holds court days here .
Superior courts
The district court Meiningen is superordinate to the AG Sonneberg . The competent higher regional court is the Thuringian higher regional court in Jena .
