Eisfeld District Court

The Eisfeld District Court was a district court of ordinary jurisdiction that existed from 1879 to 1952 and was based in the Thuringian city of Eisfeld . In 1829 the administration and judiciary were separated in what was then the Duchy of Saxony-Meiningen and the previous offices were abolished. The previous Eisfeld office was formed with the town of Eisfeld, the market town of Untereubrunn and the villages of Biberschlag , Brattendorf , Brünn , Crock , Einsiedel , Engenstein , Ernstthal , Fehrenbach , Friedrichshöhe , Gabel , Gießübel , Goßmannsrod , Herbartswind , Heubach , Hinterrod , Hirschendorf , Lichtenau , Merbelsrod , Neustadt am Rennsteig (with Kahlert ), Oberneubrunn , Oberwind , Poppenwind , Saargrund , Sachsendorf , Schirnrod , Schnett , Schwarzbach , Schwarzenbrunn with ( Sophienau ), Stelzen , Steudach , Tellerhammer , Tossenthal , Waffenrod and Weitesfeld das Land- und Eisfeld City Court.

On December 1, 1850, this court was transformed into a district court deputation of the Hildburghausen district court under the name Eisfeld district court.
