Tellerhammer is an upper district of Biberau in the Schleusegrund community in the Hildburghausen district in Thuringia .

Tellerhammer is located in the valley along the “Biber” stream. The place can be reached via Bibertalstraße ( Kreisstraße 523).

history

1593 was the first documentary mention of this settlement, which was built around an iron hammer. The place name refers to the location of a hammer mill. Disc-shaped blanks that were forged as sheet metal were called “plates”.
