Biberau is a district of the Schleusegrund community in the Hildburghausen district in Thuringia .

history

The following four districts are united in the village of Biberau: Lichtenau (1595/96), Engenstein (1311), Biberschlag (1330-1340) and Tellerhammer (1593). (In brackets = first documentary mention)

During the GDR era, the FDGB culture center “Robert Stamm” was located in Biberschlag .

Biberau is located on the county road 523 in the Bibergrund , which is provided with meadows or wooded. The federal highway 4 and recently the federal highway 73 open up the surrounding area with traffic.
