Tossenthal is a district of the town of Eisfeld in the Hildburghausen district in Thuringia .

Tossenthal lies at the foot of the Stelzener Berg. The district road 529 connects the district with the surrounding area. The federal highways 281 and 89 pass nearby with junctions.
history
The village was first mentioned in a document in 1330/1340. Currently (as of 2010) 34 people live in the place.
On July 1, 1950, the communities of Tossenthal and Weitesfeld were merged to form the new community of Weitesthal. This was incorporated into the municipality of Sachsenbrunn on April 1, 1974 , which in turn was incorporated into Eisfeld on January 1, 2019.
