Herbartswind and Bockstadt form the joint district of Bockstadt-Herbartswind in the town of Eisfeld in the Hildburghausen district in Thuringia .
location
Herbartswind is located southeast of Eisfeld in a Werra lowland . The town is connected to the federal highway 89 and federal highway 73 via the county road 530 . The district of the village partially borders on Bavaria .
history
The village was first mentioned in a document in 1466. However, the place is much older than when it was first mentioned. From 1528 to 1945 he belonged to the district of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Rottenbach in the Coburg region . The children went to school there too.
In 2012, 130 people lived in Herbartswind. The village in the former border area of the GDR offered border hikes in 2012.
Before being incorporated into Eisfeld on December 31, 2013, Herbartswind belonged to the municipality of Bockstadt from April 1, 1974 . It celebrated its 550th anniversary in 2016.
