The Vacha District Court (until 1879 Vacha Judicial Office ) was a court of ordinary jurisdiction that existed from 1850 to 1952 and was based in Vacha .

When in 1850 the judiciary and administration were separated in the Grand Duchy of Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach and the patrimonial jurisdiction was abolished, the Vacha judicial office was established for the jurisdiction in place of the previous office of Vacha, whose district included the towns of Deicheroda (with Hüttenroda , Mosa , Mühlwärts , Rodenberg ), Martinroda , Oberzella (with Badelachen , Heiligenroda , Niederndorf , Sachsenhain, Schwenge , Unterzella ), Pferdsdorf , Sünna (with Räsa ), Unterbreizbach , Vacha, Völkershausen (with Hedwigsberg , Busengraben , Kohlgraben , Luttershof , Poppenberg ), Willmanns and Wölferbütt ( with Mariengart , Masbacher Höfe).

With the enactment of the Judicature Act on 1 October 1879, the judicial office in the District Court Vacha was converted while the newly built district court Eisenach assigned. The the dissolved were Justice Official Tiefenort derived municipalities Dorndorf (with Kirstingshof ) Kieselbachplatz (with Kambach ) and Tiefenort (with Hämbach satisfied), the district court Vacha.

After the Grand Duchy of Saxony had become part of Thuringia in 1920, the Thuringian judicial districts were revised across the country on October 1, 1923. As a result, the district court district of Vacha expanded to include the towns of Frauensee (with Josthof , Schergeshof , Springen and Knottenhof ) and Vitzeroda, which had previously belonged to the district court of Gerstungen , and the towns of Kaiseroda and Merkers, which were previously part of the Stadtlengsfeld district court . From January 1, 1924 to January 1, 1925 Kaiseroda was part of the Bad Salzungen District Court .

After the Eisenach Regional Court was repealed on September 1, 1949, the Meiningen Regional Court had become the next higher instance for the AG Vacha. Exactly one month later, the Geisa district court was lifted and its entire district, consisting of Apfelbach , Bermbach , Borbels , Borsch , Bremen , Buttlar , Geblar , Geisa, Geismar , Gerstengrund , Ketten , Kranlucken , Mieswarz , Motzlar (with long winds and Oberrothhof ), Otzbach , Reinhards , Schleid (with Röderkirchhof and Unterrothhof ), Spahl , Walkes (with Seeleshof), Wenigentaft , Wiesenfeld and Zitters (with Kohlbach ), assigned to the Vachaer Sprengel.

On January 1, 1952, the Vacha District Court itself was repealed and its entire district was assigned to the Bad Salzungen District Court .
