Hüttenroda is a court community , now part of Unterbreizbach in the Wartburg district in Thuringia .

location

Hüttenroda is located in the valley of the Mosa on the district road 103, which meets the federal road 84 near Mühlwärts . The geographic height of the place is 228 m above sea level. NN . The court community is divided into Oberdorf and Unterdorf (Hofwiesen). In addition to arable land and valley meadows, the farmers of the farm community own forest and a two-hectare lake pond, which was intended for irrigation in the GDR . Now it is still used as a fishing water.

history

The first documentary mention of the village took place in 1239. Agriculture was once practiced on 148 hectares of land.

The place belonged for centuries to the Hessian office Vacha , which from 1815 belonged to the Grand Duchy of Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach .

1975 Hofgemeinden were Deicheroda , Mühlwärts , Hüttenroda and Mosa at the decision of the Council of the district Bad Salzungen by Sünna incorporated and since 1996 the district of unified community Unterbreizbach. In 2012, 46 people lived in the parish.
