District court Mühlhausen
The district court of Mühlhausen is a court of ordinary jurisdiction and one of four district courts (AG) in the district of the district court of Mühlhausen .
Seat and District of the Court
The seat of the court is Mühlhausen / Thuringia , the district town of the Unstrut-Hainich district . The 980 km² judicial district extends to the Unstrut-Hainich district with 42 communities. Around 105,000 people live in it. There was a branch in Bad Langensalza until December 31, 2018.

The court is located in the Untermarkt 17 building.
The district court building was the seat of the Soviet secret service NKVD from 1945 to 1948 . Interrogations, torture, convictions for deportations and death were carried out here. A plaque on the building, to the right of the entrance gate, indicates this.
Superior courts
The Mühlhausen Regional Court is superordinate to the Mühlhausen AG . The competent higher regional court is the Thuringian higher regional court in Jena .
