The Vieselbach District Court (until 1879 Vieselbach Justice Office ) was a court of ordinary jurisdiction that existed from 1850 to 1949 and was based in Vieselbach, which today belongs to the city of Erfurt .

As a result of the revolution of 1848, the state structure in the Grand Duchy of Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach was reorganized. In 1850, the offices that were still partly from the Middle Ages were abolished and replaced by district offices, judicial offices and accounting offices, and the last remaining patrimonial courts were also repealed. The task of jurisdiction for the area of ​​the former municipalities Azmannsdorf , Bechstedtstraß , Großmölsen , Hochstedt , Hopfgarten , Isseroda , Kerspleben , Kleinmölsen , Linderbach , Mönchenholzhausen , Niederzimmer , Ollendorf , Ottstedt am Berge , Schwerborn , Sohnstedt , Töttleben , Udestedt , Utzberg , Vieselbach and Wallichen , most of which belonged to the Vieselbach office , was transferred to the Vieselbach justice office that had just been created for this purpose.

With the dissolution of the Justice Office Berka on June 30, 1878, the district of the Justice Office Vieselbach expanded to include the municipal districts of Eichelborn , Hayn , Klettbach , Meckfeld , Obernissa , Rohda and Schellroda .

With the enactment of the Judicature Act on 1 October 1879, the judicial office in the District Court Vieselbach was converted while the newly built district court Weimar assigned. The Vieselbach judicial district itself did not change.

After Sachsen-Weimar-Eisenach was dissolved in Thuringia in 1920, the previous judicial districts were reorganized across the country on October 1, 1923. The district court of Vieselbach had to hand over the places Schwerborn and Udestedt to the district court of Großrudestedt .

With the repeal of the Weimar Regional Court on September 1, 1949, the Erfurt Regional Court was the next higher instance for one month. On October 1, 1949, the district court of Vieselbach was repealed and the municipalities of Bechstedtstrasse, Eichelborn, Hopfgarten, Isseroda, Meckfeld, Niederzimmer, Ollendorf, Ottstedt am Berge and Utzberg were assigned to the district court of Weimar , while the remaining localities were assigned to the district court of Erfurt .
