The Gotha District Court is a district court in Gotha in the area of the Erfurt Regional Court . It is the court of first instance in civil, family and criminal matters. The judicial district corresponds to the district of Gotha .

The Gotha City Court and the Gotha Justice Office were combined in 1879 and transformed into the Gotha District Court.

During the period of National Socialism , the French Catholic youth priest Marcel Callo was incarcerated for five weeks in a holding cell at the court at the instigation of the Gestapo . Since 2010 there has been a memorial plaque in German and French on the northeast corner of the main building.
