The District Court of Schwabmünchen was a Bavarian court of ordinary jurisdiction that existed from 1879 to 2017 and was based in the Swabian city ​​of Schwabmünchen .

history

On the occasion of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, a local court was established in Schwabmünchen.

Next Higher Instance had until April 1, 1932, the District Court of Neuburg an der Donau in the Higher Regional Court of Augsburg , then the district court Augsburg in the Higher Regional Court District of Munich .

When the Law on the Organization of Ordinary Courts in the Free State of Bavaria (GerOrgG) came into force on July 1, 1973, the Schwabmünchen District Court was dissolved de jure and continued as a branch of the Augsburg District Court:

"The district court of Schwabmünchen, which is located in the district (Augsburg) as a further court office, is to be continued as a branch for the time being until further offices are created for the district court in Augsburg."

The Schwabmünchen district court branch was closed on January 31, 2017.

The court was located at Fuggerstrasse 62, near the former Fugger Castle.
