Former district court building

The Wertingen District Court was a Bavarian court of ordinary jurisdiction that existed from 1879 to 1973 and was based in Wertingen .

On the occasion of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, a district court was set up in the city of Wertingen, its district from

• the communities Affaltern , Allmannshofen , Biberbach , Binswangen , Blankenburg , Bliensbach , Bocksberg , Buttenwiesen , Ehingen , Eisenbrechtshofen , Emersacker , Erlingen , fig Hofen , woman Stetten , Gottsmann Hofen , Hegnenbach , Herbertshofen , Heretsried , Hettlingen , Hirschbach , High rich , Kühlenthal , Long rich , Laugna , Lauterbrunn , Markt , Meitingen , Oberthürheim , Ortlfingen , Ostendorf , Osterbuch , Pfaffenhofen , Prettelshofen , Rieblingen , Roggden , Sontheim , Unterthürheim , Villenbach , Wengen , Wertingen, Westendorf , Wortelstetten , Zusamaltheim and Zusamzell of the previous district court district of Wertingen as well
• the municipality of Riedsend submitted by the Dillingen Regional Court . The superior authority was the Augsburg Regional Court .

When the law on the organization of ordinary courts in the Free State of Bavaria (GerOrgG) came into force on July 1, 1973, the Wertingen District Court was dissolved and its district was divided as follows:

• Affaltern, Allmannshofen, Biberbach, Blankenburg, Ehingen, Eisenbrechtshofen, Emersacker, Erlingen, Feigenhofen, Hegnenbach, Herbertshofen, Heretsried, Kühlenthal, Langenreichen, Lauterbrunn, Markt, Meitingen, Ortlfingen, Ostendorf, Westendorf and Zusamzell came to the district court as part of the new district of Augsburg Augsburg ,
• the remaining municipalities as part of the current district of Dillingen an der Donau to the district court of Dillingen an der Donau .

The building of the former local court, a three-story hipped roof building at Schulstrasse 10, is now a listed building.
