The hamlet of Salmannshofen (formerly Salmannshofen Monastery ) also belongs to the district .
The district road A 12 leads from Biberbach via Albertshofen , Dennhofmühle , Baletshof , Salmannshofen, Affaltern and Lauterbrunn to Welden . The district road A 27 leads from the DLG 10 (district border near Osterbuch ) via Affaltern to Heretsried .
history
Until 1803 Affaltern was under the local rule of the cathedral monastery Augsburg . Until the regional reform in Bavaria on July 1, 1972, the independent municipality of Affaltern with its two districts Monburg and Salmannshofen belonged to the district of Wertingen and was added to the district of Augsburg (initially called the district of Augsburg-West ). On May 1, 1978 it was incorporated into the Biberbach market. Monburg came to Heretsried .
