The District Court of Oettingen was a Bavarian court of ordinary jurisdiction that existed from 1879 to 1959 and was based in the Swabian city ​​of Oettingen .

The district court of Oettingen , formed in 1852 , was made up of the communities of the former city ​​and rulership court of Oettingen , the community of Seglohe of the district court of Mönchsroth and the community of Belzheim of the district court of Nördlingen . To introduce the Courts Constitution Act on October 1, 1879, a district court was set up in Oettingen, the district of which was identical to the previous district court district of Oettingen and consequently made up of the former municipalities of Amerbach , Auhausen , Belzheim , Dornstadt , Dürrenzimmern , Ehingen am Ries , Erlbach , Fessenheim , Fremdingen , Hainsfarth , Hausen , Herblingen , Heuberg , Hochaltingen , Holzkirchen , Laub , Lehmingen , Lochenbach , Maihingen , Marktoffingen , Megesheim , Minderoffingen , Munningen , Niederhofen , Nittingen , Oettingen, Pfäfflingen , Schopflohe , Schwörsheim , Seglohe , Utzwingen and Wechingen . The next higher instance was the district court of Neuburg an der Donau until April 1, 1932 , then the district court of Augsburg .

After the war-related shutdown of the Oettingen District Court and its reopening as a branch of the Noerdlingen District Court in 1956 , the Oettinger Court was finally repealed on July 1, 1959 due to an ordinance of the Bavarian State Minister of Justice .
