Hochaltingen is a part of the community of Fremdingen in the Swabian district of Donau-Ries ( Bavaria ).
history
A local noble family is named as the owner of the village in 1153, the place itself is passed down as "Haheltingen". From 1238 are noblemen of Hürnheim owned the place, which has since Lords of Hürnheim low house Haheltingen call. The male line died out in 1585 and the heiress Cordula brought the property to the Barons von Welden . In 1764 they sold the place to the Counts of Oettingen-Spielberg for a value of approx. 550,000 Rhenish guilders.
On May 1, 1978, the previously independent Hochaltingen was incorporated into the community of Fremdingen.
