Mönchsroth ruling court

The Mönchsroth rulership court was a rulership court of the princes Oettingen-Spielberg zu Mönchsroth . It existed from 1818 to 1848. Until 1837 it was part of the Rezatkreis , from 1838 it belonged to Swabia and Neuburg . In 1848 it was converted into a judicial and police authority, which expired in 1850.

The rulership court bordered the Dinkelsbühl regional court in the north, the Wassertrüdingen regional court in the east and the Oettingen rulership court on this side of the Wörnitz in the south .

The ruling court was divided into two tax districts, which were administered by the Oettingen Rent Office.

In 1818 there were 1,341 residents in the Mönchsroth ruling court, who were divided into 302 families and lived in 277 properties.

In the same year, the following tax districts were added by the dissolved Aufkirchen Lower Court :

The rural community of Segringen with Scheckenmühle was handed over by the Dinkelsbühl regional court .

In 1818 there were 10 rural communities in the Mönchsroth rulership:

  • Diederstetten with Hasselbach and Winnetten
  • Frankenhofen with Ruffenhofen
  • Fürnheim with Buchhof, Goschenhof and Himmerstall
  • Irsingen
  • Mönchsroth
  • Reichenbach with Forsthöfe, Linkersbeunt and Stahlhöfe
  • Rühlingstetten
  • Seglohe with Eitersberg and Hochstadt
  • Segringen with a Scheckenmühle
  • Wittenbach with Beermühle, Burgstallhof and Gramstetterhof

With the dissolution of the Oettingen lordship on this side of the Wörnitz in 1823, Aufkirchen was added. With the dissolution of the Mönchsroth court and police authority, Frankenhofen came to the Dinkelsbühl regional court, the other communities fell to the Wassertrüdingen regional court.
