The hamlet is located on Käsgraben which is a left tributary of the Forest trench is, in turn, from the right in the Wörnitz flows. The place is immediately surrounded by arable land and grassland with a few trees. Approx. 1.25 km to the west rises the Geißberg ( 500  m above sea level ) in the forest area Jägerschlag, approx. 1 km east of the Dürrenbuck ( 497  m above sea level ) in the forest area Dornstadt. history

The Fraisch over Stahlhöfe was disputed between the Ansbach Oberamt Wassertrüdingen and the Oberamt Aufkirchen in Oettingen- Spielberg . The place did not have a congregation ruler. Towards the end of the 18th century there were five properties (2 farms, 1 half farm, 2 Sölden ), all of which had the Hirschbrunn administrator's office in Oettingen- Spielberg as landlord .

As a result of the municipal edict, Stahlhöfe was assigned to the tax district and the rural community of Fürnheim in 1809 . In 1818 it was reorganized into the newly formed rural community of Reichenbach . As part of the regional reform in Bavaria , the steel yards were incorporated into Wassertrüdingen on July 1, 1971.
