history

Towards the end of the 18th century, the property was in the Fraisch district of the Ansbach Oberamt Wassertrüdingen . It was originally used as a fulling mill, later also as an oil mill . It was originally located a little further south on the Lentersheimer Mühlbach. Under the Prussian administration (1792–1806) of the Principality of Ansbach, the property received the number 230 of the place Wassertrüdingen when the house numbers were assigned. After the mill burned down, it was rebuilt at its current location in 1826. Since 1827 it was owned by Georg Hertlein, after whom it was later to be named. In 1837 and 1846 it was referred to in local directories as the Gyps and Oel mill .

With the community edict in 1809, the place was assigned to the tax district and the municipal community Wassertrüdingen.
