Schobdach is a district of the town of Wassertrüdingen in the Ansbach district in Middle Franconia ( Bavaria ).
geography
The church village is on the Lentersheimer Mühlbach, which is a left tributary of the Wörnitz , and on the Arrenbach, which flows into the Lentersheimer Mühlbach as a left tributary in the village. The Eislersberg rises to the northeast, the Chorälln forest area is approx. 0.5 km to the east, and the Espanwald is approx. 1 km to the south. Municipal roads lead to Wassertrüdingen on State Road 2221 (1.2 km west), to Altentrüdingen (2.8 km north) and after Zollhaus to State Road 2221 (0.7 km south).

The Fraisch over Schobdach was exercised by the Ansbach Oberamt Wassertrüdingen , east of the street it was also claimed by the Ansbach Oberamt Hohentrüdingen . From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Wassertrüdingen .
In 1806 Schobdach came to the Kingdom of Bavaria . With the Gemeindeedikt the place was the 1809 tax district and the Rural Municipality Geilsheim assigned. With the second community edict (1818), the rural community Schobdach was formed, to which Zollhaus belonged. In administration and jurisdiction it was subordinate to the Wassertrüdingen Regional Court and the Wassertrüdingen Rent Office ( renamed Wassertrüdingen Tax Office in 1919 , Gunzenhausen Tax Office 1932–1973 , Ansbach Tax Office from 1973 ). The jurisdiction remained with the district court Wassertrüdingen until 1879, from 1879 to 1956 the district court Wassertrüdingen was responsible, from 1956 to 1970 the district court Gunzenhausen and from 1970 to 1973 the district court Dinkelsbühl , which has been a branch of the district court Ansbach since 1973 . The administration was taken over by the newly created Dinkelsbühl district office in 1862 (renamed the Dinkelsbühl district in 1938 ). With the dissolution of the district of Dinkelsbühl in 1972, Schobdach came to the district of Ansbach. In 1961 the municipality had an area of 1,823 km². In the course of the territorial reform , this was incorporated into Wassertrüdingen on July 1, 1971.
Architectural monuments
- Evangelical Lutheran branch church, formerly the Catholic pilgrimage church of the Fourteen Holy Helpers, small late Gothic hall building with choir closed on three sides and southern choir flank tower, re. 1494; with equipment.
- House No. 2: residential building, ground floor solid building with corner emphasis and a deep saddle roof, after 1822.
- House No. 29: Former barn of the Zwiehof, massive plastered gable roof building, after 1822.
