Altentrüdingen is a district of the city of Wassertrüdingen in the district of Ansbach in Middle Franconia ( Bavaria ).

geography

The Lentersheimer Mühlbach , a left tributary of the Wörnitz, flows through the church village . Arrabach, Fuchsklingengraben and Bachklingengraben flow there as left tributaries of the Lentersheimer Mühlbach and the Espangraben and Schafäckergraben as right tributaries. In the west are the forest areas Zipfelholz and Baudenhart. Otherwise, the place is surrounded by arable land and grassland with a few trees.

history

The place is first mentioned in a document that must have been drawn up between 820 and 845 as "Trutmuntingen". The defining word of the place name is the personal name Truhtmund with the Old High German - Germanic suffix -ingen (= children, clan, relatives). The document confirms that the Benedictine Abbey of Fulda owns land there. Originally, the Truhendinger family had a castle there ( Altentrüdingen Castle ), but nothing has been preserved.

The monastery Heilsbronn was 1331 parish saint of Lentersheim and thus the branch chapel in Altentrüdingen. It also received a tenth share with the patronage . The first Altentrüdingen church was built in 1371 by Franciscus Ainkorn von Walrstain . In the early 16th century, Altentrüdingen became an independent parish . From then on, the pastor's position was no longer occupied by Heilsbronn Monastery, but by the margrave. The tithe was drawn half by the monastery, half by the bishop of Eichstätt, who, however, had no subjects in town.

After the Thirty Years War , numerous religious refugees immigrated from Austria, who found a new home here and promoted the reconstruction of the region.

The Margrave Church , which was built according to the plans of Johann David Steingruber , has stood on the site of the castle complex since 1773 .

The Mühlbach was the Fraisch border in Altentrüdingen. East of the Mühlbach the Ansbach Oberamt Wassertrüdingen was responsible, west of the Mühlbach the Ansbach Oberamt Hohentrüdingen . The village and township government had the box office Hohentrüdingen held. At the end of the 18th century there were 67 properties in Altentrüdingen. There was also a church, a parsonage, a schoolhouse, and a community pastor's house. Were landlords

In 1806 Altentrüdingen came to the Kingdom of Bavaria . As a result of the municipal edict , the place was assigned to the Wassertrüdingen tax district in 1809. At the same time, the Altentrüdingen rural community was formed, to which Eisler and the Stockaumühle belonged.

The municipality of Altentrüdingen had an area of 5.500 km². In administration and jurisdiction it was subordinate to the Wassertrüdingen Regional Court and the Wassertrüdingen Rent Office ( renamed Wassertrüdingen Tax Office in 1919 , Gunzenhausen Tax Office 1932–1973 , Ansbach Tax Office from 1973 ). The jurisdiction remained with the district court Wassertrüdingen until 1879, from 1879 to 1956 the district court Wassertrüdingen was responsible, from 1956 to 1970 the district court Gunzenhausen and from 1970 to 1973 the district court Dinkelsbühl , which has been a branch of the district court Ansbach since 1973 . The administration was taken over by the newly created Dinkelsbühl district office in 1862 (renamed the Dinkelsbühl district in 1938 ). With the dissolution of the Dinkelsbühl district in 1972, Altentrüdingen came to the Ansbach district.

As part of the regional reform , Altentrüdingen was incorporated into Wassertrüdingen on July 1, 1971.
