history
The Fraisch over Ruffenhofen was controversial. It was claimed by both the Ansbach Oberamt Wassertrüdingen and the Oberamt Aufkirchen in Oettingen-Spielberg . The imperial city of Dinkelsbühl wanted to assert them on their estates. At the end of the 18th century there were 16 properties in Ruffenhofen. There was also a church and a community pastor's house. Were landlords
- the caste office Wassertrüdingen (2 Gütlein, 1 house)
- the Württemberg Oberamt Weiltingen (1 mill, 1 yard, 5 Sölden estates , 1 Sölden estate with brewing and commercial law)
- the imperial city of Dinkelsbühl (benefice St. Veit: 1 Söldengut; imperial salmon care: 1 courtyard; city chamber: 1 courtyard)
- the Teutonic Order ( Obervogtamt Oettingen : 1 yard, 2 Sölden).
The village and community rulership was inherited from the landlords.
With the community edict (early 19th century) Ruffenhofen was assigned to the tax district and the rural community of Frankenhofen . On May 1, 1978 Ruffenhofen was incorporated into Weiltingen as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
