history
The Fraisch over Veitsweiler was controversial. It was claimed by both the Ansbach Oberamt Wassertrüdingen and the Oberamt Aufkirchen in Oettingen-Spielberg . Towards the end of the 18th century there were 21 properties in Veitsweiler (1 brickworks , 2 half courtyards, 3 Köblergüter , 12 Söldengüter , 1 Söldengut with an inn, 2 half Söldengüter). There was also a church, a parsonage, a schoolhouse, and a community pastor's house. The village and community rule and the basic rule of all property had the Württemberg Oberamt Weiltingen held.
With the community edict (early 19th century) the tax district Veitsweiler was formed, to which Hahnenberg , Oberklingen , Unterklingen and Wolfsbühl belonged. A little later, the rural community of Veitsweiler was formed with Hahnenberg, Oberklingen and Unterklingen . It was originally under the administration and jurisdiction of the Nördlingen Regional Court , and since 1831 the Dinkelsbühl Regional Court . In 1961 the municipality had an area of 4.206 km². In the course of the regional reform it was incorporated into Weiltingen on May 1, 1978.
