history

Villersbronn was in the Fraisch district of the Ansbach Oberamt Wassertrüdingen . Towards the end of the 18th century there were 10 subject families , all of whom had the imperial city of Dinkelsbühl as their landlord . From 1797 to 1808 the place was subordinate to the Justice and Chamber Office Wassertrüdingen .

In 1806 Villersbronn came to the Kingdom of Bavaria . With the community edict (early 19th century) the tax district Villersbronn was formed, to which the places Brennhof , Diederstetten , Hasselbach , Karlsholz , Knittelsbach , Lohmühle , Neustädtlein , Radwang , Sittlingen , Walkmühle , Welchenholz and Winnetten belonged. Villersbronn was assigned to the rural community Illenschwang . On July 1, 1972, this was incorporated into Wilburgstetten as part of the regional reform in Bavaria .
