history
Greiselbach was partly in the Fraisch district of the Ansbach Oberamt Wassertrüdingen , partly in the Fraisch district of the County of Oettingen . Towards the end of the 18th century there were 14 subject families , all of whom had non-Ansbachian offices as landlords .
In 1806 Greiselbach came to the Kingdom of Bavaria . With the community edict (early 19th century) the place was assigned to the tax district Wilburgstetten . A little later, the rural community of Greiselbach was formed. In administration and jurisdiction, it was subordinate to the District Court of Nördlingen and subsequently (from 1846 at the latest) to the District Court of Dinkelsbühl . In 1961 the municipality had an area of 2.292 km². In the course of the regional reform , this was incorporated into Wilburgstetten on April 1, 1971.
